Summary
An Iteration Manager is responsible for facilitating the agile development process, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality software iterations on schedule. They work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to manage backlogs, plan sprints, and remove impediments.
Responsibilities
Facilitate daily stand-ups and other agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews,
Work with product owners to groom the backlog and ensure readiness for the next iteration,
Assist the team in estimating and breaking down user stories and tasks,
Monitor progress and provide reports on iteration status to stakeholders,
Identify and remove impediments to the team's progress,
Ensure the team adheres to agile principles and practices,
Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field,
Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe),
Proven experience as an Iteration Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role in an agile environment,
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC),
Excellent communication and facilitation skills,
Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
