Description

  • Fundamental Awareness

    At this level, individuals have a basic understanding of Jira. They are aware of the interface and understand the difference between issues and projects.   • Novice

    Novices can perform basic tasks in Jira such as creating, editing, and deleting issues. They can use the search function, add comments to issues, attach files, and understand basic workflow transitions. They are starting to become comfortable with navigating the system but may still need guidance for more complex tasks.

  • Intermediate

    Intermediate users are comfortable using Jira independently. They can perform advanced searches using JQL, manage custom fields, configure issue screens, set up notifications, and create workflows. They also understand how to manage project permissions and use reports and dashboards. They may start exploring integrations with other Atlassian tools.

  • Advanced

    Advanced users can handle complex tasks and configurations in Jira. They can manage global permissions, users, and groups, implement advanced workflow configurations, and customize the user interface. They can integrate Jira with other Atlassian tools, create complex reports and dashboards, and troubleshoot common problems. They are likely to be responsible for managing Jira within their organization.

  • Expert

    Experts have a deep understanding of Jira and can perform advanced administration tasks. They can design and implement Jira strategies for large organizations, optimize performance, automate tasks using scripts, secure Jira installations, and migrate data from other systems. They are also capable of training and mentoring others in Jira usage and administration.
