Summary
An IT Project Manager oversees technology projects, ensuring they meet organizational goals within budget and time constraints. They coordinate between various teams and stakeholders, manage resources, and ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions.
Responsibilities
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders,
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents,
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion,
Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools,
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals,
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary,
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths,
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field,
Proven experience in project management in the IT sector,
Strong understanding of IT project lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices,
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2),
Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills,
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
