Total Quality Management (TQM)

Information Technology > Project management

Description

Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management approach that aims for long-term success by focusing on customer satisfaction. TQM involves the participation of all members of an organization in improving processes, products, services, and the culture they work in. It uses data, effective communication, and participatory design to improve customer satisfaction. Key principles include strong leadership, a focus on continuous improvement, and the involvement of everyone in the organization. The goal is not just to fix individual mistakes but to identify and correct underlying systems and processes that contribute to those errors. This leads to improved quality of products or services, increased efficiency, and a more engaged workforce.
