Summary
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for establishing and maintaining an enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. The CISO will play a key role in safeguarding information by directing security initiatives that are affordable, and adaptable, and ensure organizational compliance with laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an information security strategy and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Oversee the implementation of information security policies, standards, and protocols.
Lead incident response teams during security breaches to mitigate risks and protect data integrity.
Communicate information security risks and solutions to stakeholders including senior management and board members.
Conduct ongoing assessments of information security risks to update policies and protocols as necessary.
Manage information security budgets and resources effectively.",
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
Cultivate a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience in a senior information security role.
Strong understanding of current threat landscape and threat intelligence.
Experience with risk management and information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc).
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are highly desirable.
