Summary
The Agile Product Owner is responsible for defining stories, prioritizing the Agile team's backlog, and ensuring that the teams deliver high-quality features and functions that align with customer needs and strategic goals. This role is focused on delivering value in an iterative and incremental way aligned with Agile practices and principles.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision and roadmap.
Translate customer needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Prioritize the product backlog to maximize value delivered by Agile teams.
Work closely with cross-functional teams through sprints to refine and deliver features.
Communicate project progress and potential risks to stakeholders.
Ensure that the product meets the stakeholders' vision and organization goals.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming and sprint planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM and Kanban.
Strong ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on-time solutions.
Familiarity with product backlog management tools like JIRA, Trello, etc.
