Summary

A Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist ensures that products or services meet established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. They are responsible for planning, implementing, and managing quality assurance protocols throughout the development and production lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and measures to meet compliance and regulatory standards.

Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.

Track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing.

Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role. Experience in QA methodology. Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus. Ability to document and troubleshoot errors. Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
