Summary
The Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Scrum Team, responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. They ensure that the team follows agile principles and processes, facilitating meetings, and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
Facilitate daily scrums, sprint planning, and backlog refinement meetings,
Help the product owner maintain the product backlog in a way that ensures the project is well defined and the team can continually deliver working software,
Coach the team on agile principles and processes,
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint progress,
Remove impediments to the team’s progress.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field,
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification,
Experience in a scrum master role,
Familiarity with software development,
Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
