Summary
The Windows Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the Windows server environment within an organization. This includes installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows servers, ensuring system security, and providing technical support. Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers.
Manage Active Directory services, group policies, and user accounts.
Monitor and optimize system performance and network connectivity.
Ensure data security through regular updates and security patches.
Perform system backups and recovery operations.
Troubleshoot system and network issues.
Implement and manage system policies and automation scripts.
Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT staff.
Maintain documentation of configurations and procedures.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3-5 years of experience as a Windows Administrator or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019).
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
Strong understanding of network protocols and configurations.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Industry certifications like MCSE, MCSA are a plus.
