Summary
The Product Owner is a key role within Agile teams, responsible for defining the vision of a product and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the business, quality, and functional goals are met with each product release. They are the primary point of contact for stakeholders and are accountable for ensuring that the team delivers value to the business.
Responsibilities
Defining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on, Clearly communicating the business requirements to the team, bridging the gap between the potential users, the development team, and stakeholders, Evaluating product progress at each iteration, Leading the planning product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities, Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management, Strong knowledge of Agile principles and process, Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic influence skills, Experience with stakeholder management, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent preferred.
