Description

InVision is a digital product design platform that allows designers to create interactive and dynamic prototypes of their designs. It provides tools for uploading design files, creating hotspots for interactivity, and sharing prototypes for feedback. Advanced features include creating complex interactions with motion transitions, using overlays for more dynamic prototypes, and managing team roles and permissions. InVision also integrates with other design tools like Sketch or Photoshop and has a Design System Manager (DSM) for setting up and managing design systems. Expert users can optimize workflows with advanced integrations, troubleshoot common issues, and train others on best practices for using InVision.

Expected Behaviors

  • Fundamental Awareness

At the fundamental awareness level, users are expected to understand the basic purpose of InVision and be able to recognize its interface. They should be able to identify the basic tools available in the software but may not yet know how to use them effectively.

  • Novice

Novice users should be able to create a new project in InVision and upload design files. They can navigate through the workspace and use the comment tool for feedback. At this stage, they are learning to use the software for basic tasks.

  • Intermediate

Intermediate users are expected to create interactive prototypes using hotspots and share these prototypes for feedback. They should be able to use the inspect mode for developer handoff and integrate InVision with other tools like Sketch or Photoshop.

  • Advanced

Advanced users should be proficient in creating complex interactions with motion transitions and using overlays for more dynamic prototypes. They should be able to manage team roles and permissions and use the InVision Design System Manager (DSM) effectively.

  • Expert

Expert users are expected to set up and manage an enterprise-level design system with DSM. They should be able to optimize workflow with advanced InVision integrations, troubleshoot common issues, and train others on best practices for using InVision.
