Onboarding to StackFactor

Welcome to StackFactor! Setting up your account and joining your team takes just a few minutes.

StackFactor helps you build the skills your work needs. You'll see which skills your role requires, check where you stand today, and follow a personal plan to grow. This guide covers accepting your invitation, the setup wizard, and the main areas of the app.

Accept your invitation

1. 1Open the invitation email from StackFactor and click the link inside.
2. 2Enter your First Name, Last Name, and a Password.
3. 3Click Agree and Sign Up, then Go to login and sign in.

Complete the setup wizard

The first time you sign in, a short wizard helps you set up your account. Use Next to move through it and Finish at the end. Depending on what you do in your organization, you'll see some or all of these steps:

• About You — your basic details.
• Roles — the role you play in your organization and your day-to-day responsibilities. This tells StackFactor which skills matter for you.
• Learning Preferences — how and when you like to learn.
• Admins may also see steps to set up the organization, choose a plan, and invite the team.

Find your way around

After the wizard, you land on My Dashboard, your home base. It brings together your learning tasks, quick links, onboarding checklist, and to-do items. Click the logo at the top left to get back to it from anywhere.

The main areas of StackFactor are across the top of the page. Inside each area, the left navigation takes you to its pages.

• Capability Map — your organization's roles, skills, and learning content.
• Strategy — the goals your team and organization are working toward.
• Development Hub — your personal space, including My Talent Stack (your profile, roles, and skill assessments) and Plans (your development plans and learning).
• Readiness — reports on skills and progress for you, your team, and your organization.
• At the top right: the bell for Notifications, and your avatar for your Profile and Logout.

Work through your onboarding checklist

The Onboarding section of My Dashboard is a checklist that gets you and your team up and running. Click a step to open it: each one explains what to do and links to the matching guide under Tutorials.

Tick the checkboxes as you go, and the step moves from Not started to In progress to Complete. Some steps unlock only after the earlier ones are done.

• Team members familiarize themselves with StackFactor, update their profile, complete their skill assessments, and create their first development plan.
• Managers also check that the right roles and skills exist, invite and introduce the team, and make sure everyone has a role.
