Description

Metasploit is a powerful tool used in cybersecurity for penetration testing and vulnerability assessment. It provides a platform for researchers to locate, exploit, and validate vulnerabilities. Fundamental Awareness

At this level, individuals are expected to understand the basic purpose of Metasploit and its role in ethical hacking. They should be familiar with basic Metasploit terminology and have a general awareness of ethical hacking principles.

Novice

Novices should be able to set up and configure Metasploit, launch the Metasploit console, and navigate within it using basic commands. They should be capable of performing simple vulnerability scans and have an understanding of the structure of exploits and payloads.

Intermediate

Intermediate users should be proficient in creating and managing workspaces, performing advanced vulnerability scans, and exploiting known vulnerabilities. They should be comfortable using auxiliary modules, post-exploitation basics, database integration and management, and understanding and using Meterpreter.

Advanced

Advanced users should be adept at customizing exploits, applying advanced post-exploitation techniques, pivoting and port forwarding, scripting within Metasploit, using and creating custom modules, bypassing antivirus software, and conducting penetration testing with Metasploit.

Experts should have a deep understanding of Metasploit's architecture and design, advanced scripting and automation skills, ability to create complex and customized exploits, knowledge of advanced evasion techniques, in-depth knowledge of Meterpreter internals, and experience contributing to the Metasploit project.
