Microservices Architecture

Information Technology > Cloud computing platforms

Description

Microservices Architecture is a design approach in software development where an application is built as a collection of small, independent services. Each microservice runs its own process and communicates with others using protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS. They are typically organized around business capabilities and can be developed using different programming languages. Microservices can be deployed independently, which allows for continuous integration and delivery. This architecture style also enhances the scalability and resilience of applications. Understanding Microservices Architecture involves knowledge of various technologies including RESTful APIs, containerization tools like Docker, orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and various database technologies.
