Axure RP

Information Technology > Process mapping and design

Description

Axure RP is a powerful tool used for creating interactive and high-fidelity prototypes of websites and mobile applications without coding. It allows designers to build wireframes, apply dynamic content, form validations, conditional logic, and animations to mimic real-world application behavior. Axure RP also supports responsive design, enabling prototypes to adapt to different screen sizes. Advanced features include the use of variables, functions, and expressions for complex interactions, as well as data-driven designs. The tool also facilitates collaboration among teams and provides options to share or present your prototype to stakeholders.

Expected Behaviors

✎
LEVEL 1

Fundamental Awareness

At the fundamental awareness level, users are expected to understand the basic purpose of Axure RP and be familiar with its interface. They should have a basic understanding of prototyping concepts but may not yet be able to create prototypes independently.

🌱
LEVEL 2

Novice

Novices can create basic wireframes and add widgets and masters to their designs. They can set up simple interactions and use dynamic panels to create basic animations. However, they may still need guidance for more complex tasks.

🌍
LEVEL 3

Intermediate

Intermediate users can design responsive prototypes and work with repeaters to manage lists of items. They can create conditional logic, use variables, build forms and user input fields, and create adaptive views for different screen sizes. They can handle most tasks independently but may still need help with advanced features.

⭐
LEVEL 4

Advanced

Advanced users can create complex interactions and use math, functions, and expressions in their designs. They can build data-driven prototypes and create custom widget libraries. They can integrate Axure RP with other design tools and prototype for mobile devices. They can solve most problems independently.

🏆
LEVEL 5

Expert

Experts can use variables and functions at an advanced level to create highly interactive and realistic prototypes. They have mastered conditional logic and dynamic content and can optimize prototype performance. They can teach and mentor others in Axure RP and contribute to the Axure RP community.
